Embracing Oneness: how we benefit from seeing ourselves in all

There's a thing that begins to happen when you can embrace the Oneness of All.

*Record scratches*

Hold up. Let's take it back a second. First of all, what do I mean by the Oneness of All?  I mean our connectedness to all things: all plants, animals, humans.  All beings of the light.  All creatures of this planet we call home.  All of us from the power of Source, the Universe, God, Goddess.  Whatever you call that power.

So we're all connected.  We share the same core Light, the same core energy.  And when we truly begin to wrap our heads around that concept, the miraculous occurs...

...Empathy.  Compassion.  Forgiveness.

This IS a miracle.  Because the truth is, as humans, we tend to spend a lot of time walking around with our heads up our own, ahem, yeah... You know where I am going with that.

We're typically self-centred and self-serving. We typically come from Ego.  And that's not to say that we need to start whipping ourselves or repenting for our sins, it's a very human thing to be Egoic.  I'm not suggesting we head down the road of shame and self-blame.

What I am suggesting is that we lift up our heads and take a look around.  Recognize our neighbour as ourselves.  Be willing to see that we can be just as judgemental as the person we're judging for being judgemental (see what I did with that, there?).

We're all heading in the same direction, and that's to a moment where we part from our vehicle known as the physical body.  In the end, we all leave our shells behind in the dust.  In the end, we all have the choice to return to the Light.

In the meantime, we have some choices. We have the choice to create some miracles.  We have the choice to live with compassion and empathy and to see ourselves in another.

Sat Nam.
